Abstract

The Yangjia-zhangzi deposits are skarn-type molybdenum deposits that have been formed in lower Paleozoic calcareous beds by Mesozoic granitic intrusions. Phlogopite occurring in diopside skarm orebody is dated at 183 Ma. Thus the mineralization belongs to Jurassic, the early Yanshanian cycle.
