Abstract
Prospecting of underground are body may be accomplished by measuring the reversepotential which is produced by the searched are body when the latter is electrolytically polarised. Two varieties of receiving method are proposed in the present paper. The one is a direct method while the other is an indirect one.
At the ground where the capillary potential around the transmitting electrode is not conspicious, the direct method is applicable. In general, however, the indirect method is superior to the direct one as the capillary potential may sometimes amount to a considerable magnitude and masks the reverse potential from the are body. Moreover, the indirect method gives some precise informations not only about the position but also of the depth of the searched are body.
