Abstract
In this report as a continuation of the 1st report, the author theoretically solved the relation between magnetic force of ferromagnetic particle and a given magnetic field considering that the effect of demagnetizing field. By the above relation the ratio γ of magnetic force and gravity was obtained. These relations were illustrated by the equation (8) and (10).
By using these relations the author numerically calculated the value of γ concerning with the magnetite particle. These results were illustrated by Fig. 3 and 5.
To compare the magnetic force of spherical particle described above with the force of particle having an irregular form which treated in the ordinary magnetic separation, the author experimentally determined the value of demagnetizing factor N concerning the magnetite particle of irregular form. The distribution curve of N was illustrated by Fig. 8. In addition with the above mentioned results the relation between magnetic hysteresis and magnetic force was experimentally obtained.
By using these results the motion of magnetic particle in a magnetic separator was discussed.
