Flotation Test on Copper-Zinc Ore using Dithizone as Collector

Abstract

This paper includes the resul-ts of the flotation tests on copper-zinc are using dithizone as collector. The main results obtained are as follows,
(1) The higher value of selectivity index is obtained by dithizone than by xanthate.
(2) H₂S gas is an effective reagent in differential flotation of copper-zinc are to depress the zinc minerals, but it is necessary to regulate the concentration of H₂S gas in a pulp in a narrow range.
(3) The pH value must be selected in a range between 6 and 7.
