Facial disfigurement is a complication of thyroid eye disease. This is caused by increased periorbital soft tissue volume and cicatricial changes in the periorbital tissues. Rehabilitative surgery aims to bring patients’face as close to normal conditions as possible instead of completely restoring the face to the condition before the onset of thyroid eye disease. In this report, I describe overviews of retro-orbicularis oculi fat removal, baggy eyelid surgery, and orbital decompression for disfiguring proptosis.
