Abstract
In this paper, active steering systems and automated steering systems are provided based on model reference D* control of a single-truck model which can treat the tire nonlinear characteristic between the tire slip angle and the tire lateral force. The automobile has two wheel steering (2WS) which is equipped with steer-by-wire technology. In manual driving, the driving safety increases by active steering and the driving easiness is attained by model reference D* control.
