Abstract
Presented in this paper is the principle, structure and characteristics of the device which can automatically measure the dynamics of linear control systems by means of the model method. Its measuring principle is to automatically follow the system Parameters, which may vary with time, by adjusting the model parameters so as to have the difference between the system response and model response to the applied test signal become zero. The device consists of system models, a test signal source, performance index computer and parameter adjusters. Its feature is that the gain and time constants of the system. can be individually tracked by making adequate choice of specified criteria. Also shown are various exprimental results which well coincide with the theoretical ones. The principle used in this device will be applied to some types of systems by adding the selecting action of models and criteria.
