Abstract
In this paper, the control technique by Sliding Mode Control of the surface temperature of the material placed into the dryness fireplace is proposed. This control law has the characteristics of an integral term and a fictitious set point (FSP). The fictitious set point is introduced so that the pocess variable should follow the temperature up pattern to the desired value. The aim of the fictitious set point is to prevent overshooting from the desired value. The switching manipulated variable which satisfies a sliding mode condition is obtained by taking the sign of the uncertainty into consideration. The computer simulation and the experiment confirm the effect of this technique. Following to FSP could be confirmed though big disturbance was given to the process variable. The surface temperature of the material reached to the desired value without overshooting.
