Abstract
In order to produce characteristic outstanding silk, while making the Sekaiichi × Chu 515 and examining many characters of the silkworm, quality of cocoon and mechanical properties of the raw silk further manufactured from the cocoon was analyzed. Although the stable production of cocoon which reduced rearing labors more was possible for this silkworm races in the all rearing season and many characters were low compared with the commercial silkworm race, the characteristic of the raw silk was rich in elasticity, softly flexible, could not become wrinkles easily, and had the performance which is excellent also in durability. In addition, a silk material of the singularity which has a wild silkworm taste rather than the usual domesticated silkworm was also shown.
