Abstract
A study was carried out on the distribution characteristics concerning reeling thread troubles (here after called as failures) of an automatic silk reeling system, defining the time between failures as TBF and the time to repair as TTR.
It was concluded that the distribution of TBF and TTR closely reflected the Weibull distribution and the characteristics of TBF and TTR distributions could be accurately expressed by the parameters of the said distribution function.
It was also concluded that the graphical method of estimation for the parameters of Weibull distribution could be effectively and easily applied for analysing TBF and TTR, besides the method of maximum likelihood estimate or so by computer.
