Abstract
This paper aims to show the similarities and differences between the Japanese and the Korean Organization Costructions where the locative marked noun expresses an organization and the predicate its behavior. Analyzing the data from Japanese and Korean novels and their translation into the respective languages, this paper claims that the predicate in the Japanese Organization Construction mainly expresses the organization's behavior for the common or tis own interests while in the Korean counterpart there is no such restriction. This paper also claims that this diffrence can be attributed to the semantic difference between the locative particles {de} in Japanese and {eyse} in Korean.
