Abstract
We report a case of Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor (MPNST) with chest wall reconstruction. The patient was a 76-year-old man who had a subcutaneous tumor around the left hypochondrium. We performed massive resection and reconstruction of the chest wall by using a Marlex-mesh, latissimus dorsi muscle flap and a mesh skin graft. This tumor was histopathologically S-100 protein positive. The tumor was diagnosed as an MPNST. No recurrence or distant metastases were noted after 2 years' follow-up.[Skin Cancer (Japan) 2011 ; 26 : 228-232]
