Abstract
We reported our treatment for a surgical defect after excision of malignant tumor of the eyelid. Typical cases of surgical defect around the upper and lower eyelids were presented. For small defects, direct suture is usually applied. On the other hand, for larger upper eyelid defects greater than 40%, a switch flap from the lower eyelid (Mustardé rotation flap) is used. For lower eyelid defects greater than 40%, a cheek flap with good texture and color match is usually used.
Results were satisfactory in both clinical and cosmetic aspects by using these techniques.
