Abstract
We report a case of 59-year-old male with malignant schwannoma of the back associated with von Recklinghausen's disease.
In 1995, the first surgical resection was performed. The tumor was diagnosed as cutaneus neurofibroma. But in 1997, the tumor rapidly recurred and the second resection was performed. The histopathological findings were consistent with malignant schwannoma. Six months after the second resection, he has no evidence of recurrence or metastasis.
