Abstract
A 78-year-old woman began to develop a reddish and pedunculated tumor on her scalp half year ago. The tumor was excised with a 5 mm margin, and the defect was covered by skin grafting. No recurrence of the tumor was recognized up to a year after the operation. Histological findings showed sarcomatous features at almost all parts of the tumor and an adenomatous lesion at the bottom. These two lesions had transition and the same findings revealed by immunostain. Then we considered this tumor was consistent with a sarcomatous type of spiradenocarcinoma described by Ackerman (1998). [Skin Cancer (Japan) 2006; 21: 91-95]
