Abstract
We report a case of a 74-year-old Japanese man who presented with a 15×15×8mm mass on his pubic region. The histological examination suggested a metastatic lesion of adenocarcinoma. Immunohistochemical studies showed positivity for a tumor of AE1/3, BRST2, CEA and S-100.
No other tumor was found despite intensive examinations. We resected it with a wide margin and both inguinal lymph node dissection. Together with the histological and immunohistochemical examinations, we diagnosed a classic type of eccrine adenocarcinoma. A follow-up CT in October 2005 revealed that the left external iliac lymph nodes were swelling. As a result of a biopsy, we diagnosed lymph node metastasis. After he was treated with X-ray irradiation, we switched to Tamoxifen therapy. Six months after starting Tamoxifen therapy, we found that the size of the metastatic lesions were reduced on CT.
