Abstract
There are several options for the treatment of parapsoriasis en plaque (PP), early mycosis fungoides (MF), and Sézary syndrome (SS) . One of the most effective treatments for these diseases is phototherapy especially PUVA. Recently, Narrow-band UVB (NB-UVB) therapy has been reported as effective as PUVA. In this study we analyzed 10 patients (2 cases of PP, 6 cases of early stage MF, one of SS, and one of peripheral T-cell lymphoma) who were treated with NB-UVB. All patients of PP, MF, and SS achieved complete response (CR) . Six cases of MF had achieved CR within a mean of 20 times irradiation, and the mean cumulative UVB dose was 19.4J/cm2. The SS patient needed more frequent treatment and a higher dose of UVB than the MF patients. In contrast, one case of TCL could not achieve CR. The NB-UVB therapy for patients with PP and early stage MF is an effective treatment modality. [Skin Cancer (Japan) 2008; 23: 151-157]
