Abstract

A 12-year-old boy presented a slowly growing 3×2.5mm black, flat lesion on the right sole of 8 months' duration. There were junctional nevus cell nests and transepidermal elimination of melanin and dopa-and HMB-45-positive single melanocytes.
Differential diagnosis from acral lentiginous melanoma in situ was discussed.
