Abstract
A case of allergic contact dermatitis due toboric acid was reported. The patient bad beendisinfected 2% solution of boric acid around hiseyes and 10 days later noticed itchy eruptionat the site. The eruption spread gradually tohis face, neck and forearms, so he visited ourclinic. He was diagnosed as contact dermatitisand showed positive patch test reactions toboric acid powder and 10% aqueous solution24 hours after a removal of the patch plaster.
In Japan this is the first report of delayed typeallergic contact dermatitis due to boric acid.
