Abstract
For the evaluation of the hair growth promotor (PF) containing trichosaccaride, number and thickness of fall hairs at shampooing in 15 cases of male pattern alopecia and 5 cases of normal subject had been regularly measured for one year, and movement of their fall hairs was observed. As a result, numbers of fall hairs in both subjects increased at the collection of September and it was confirmed that seasonal fluctuation exists, more or less. Regarding thickness of fall hairs, the ratio of thick fall hairs of normal subject was obviously higher than that of patients with male pattern alopecia. When checked with 0.01mm unit in thickness, shifting of the peak in both groups was noted. Moreover, when the rates of each unit in thickness between the normal subject and male pattern alopecia group were compared, it was found that the rate of hairs of 0.04 to 0.05mm in diameter was 10.0 to 14.6% in male pattern alopecia group, while 5.3 to 9.5% in normal one, which was about 5% less, in other words, the count of fall hairs of 0.04 to 0.05mm n diametor will be one of indicators fo
