Abstract
Lipo PGE1was administered in 12 cases of ulcer of gangrene associated with Sjogren syndrome, SLE or PSS.
In nine cases, effective or markedly effective results were obtained. Moreover, side effects were not experienced.
Based on the results, the one-shot intravenous administration of Lipo PGE1was considered to be an effective treatment for skin ulcer or gangrene associated with collagen diseases.
Additionally, changes in mean surface skin temperature before and after the administration of Lipo PGE1in a patient with PSS, were separately measured using a thermography at the dorsum manus, digiti manus and dorsum pedis. As the results, the skin surface temperature significantly increased following the administration, suggesting that Lipo PGE1 may improve peripheral vascular disease in patients with PSS.
