Abstract
In order to evaluate the utility of the hair restorer LHOPW (Medicated “Mouhatsuryoku Fusaju®”) containing glyceride of pentadecanoic acid 2.5% and α-tocopherol acetate 0.2%, a clinical test on male pattern alopecia in women was carried out for 6 months. As a result, 79%(26 cases/33 cases) of efficacy was found in the evaluation for improvement based on the hair findings (reduction of fallen hair, appearance of vellus hair and change of vellus hair to terminal hair). In the result of the measurement of hair diameter, an average of the increasing rate was 4.1%, indicating the effect of thickening hair. No adverse effects were recognized. These findings confirmed the high utility of LHOPW on male pattern alopecia in women.
