The first case of multiple fixed drug eruption due to Tofisopam (glandaxine) in Japan is reported. An 84-year-old woman developed palm-sized erythema and blisters on her extremities and trunk after taking Tofisopam. Sjögren's syndrome, which had been treated for eight years, was exacerbated, and cardiac failure due to pericarditis occurred. The presence of anti-nuclear antibody and anti SS-A antibody, and the histological findings in a biopsy from the lip confirmed the diagnosis of Sjögren's syndrome. Resolution of the eruption was not associated with any improvement in Sjögren's sindrome or the pericar ditis. A provocation test with Tofisopam was positive.
