Abstract
The purpose of this study is to measure muscle fatigue from EMG through non-invasive way. The measurements of muscle fatigue have been required in various fields. The linear analysis method such as Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT) has been used as the common way to analyze EMG. However, there would be some types of muscle fatigue which cannot be detected by the linear analysis but could be detected by nonlinear analysis because of nonlinearity of biological signals. In this study, we analyzed EMG recorded from 17 subjects to evaluate the ability of nonlinear analysis. As a result, more kinds of muscle fatigue can be detected through both linear analysis (ex. FFT) and nonlinear analysis (ex. chaos analysis) than linear analysis only.
