Abstract
It is widely thought that visual sense, somatesthesia and the vestibular system are sensory system used to mainly control human balance. However, it is difficult to measure their role on posture control. This is reason why there have been few evaluation methods of posture control capability based on characteristics of these sensors. The purpose of this study is to propose a mathematical model for human posture control system using visual sense, somatesthesia, vestibular and prediction models. It was also found that the parameter sensitivity of somatesthesia in the human model was statistically signi.cant in case of seven of the eight subjects before and after exercise. Based on this result, a quantitative method of estimating human attitude stability by identifying the parameters is described.
