Abstract
Three types of EMG(electromyogram) feedback devices are developed for the use of rehabilitation training of physically handicapped people. In case of human sensory feedback, it is important for the representation of detected signal to be adapted both to the characteristic of patients and to the quality of trainings. One device transforms the integrated EMG signal into the light of LED(light emitting diode) lamps, and is designed mainly for a purpose of relaxation of muscle .The second device has CRT(cathode-ray tube) display and micro-processor controller. Histogram on CRT is used to represent the muscle activity in a few or several minutes. The third device also has CRT and is developed to indicate the muscle activities in connection with the motion of the patient. On the CRT, a stick picture of human skeletal body is drawn with muscle-like triangle. The height of the triangle is changed according to the amplitude of the integrated EMG.
