Abstract
In this study, introduction process of ubiquitous network system for security and safety (ubiquitous Machikado Mimamori Robot?) was examined from the perspective of activity theory. This demonstration experiment was conducted from February to March 2006, and 100 children and their parents, volunteers participated. Although this experiment was basically received well by the participants, various claims were made by the persons concerned. These claims were considered as developmental contradiction? in the activity system concerned with this experiment. This result suggested that introduction process of new artifact (e.g., robot) have to be examined as changing process of activity system.
