Newsvendor Problems with Possibilistic Demand

Abstract

In this paper, newsvendor problems with partially known demand information characterized by possibility distributions are analyzed. Five kinds of criteria are employed to evaluate the alternatives with possibilistic information. Based on five criteria, the optimal orders are obtained. Different criteria lead to different results which reflecting decision maker's attitude on satisfaction and plausibility.
