The JHF-Kamioka Neutrino Project(Neutrino experiments and theory of matter effect,Flavor Mixing, CP Violation and Origin of Matter)

Abstract

A project involving a next-generation long base-line neutrino oscillation experiment connecting 295 km between JHF 50GeV-PS at Tokai and Super-Kamiokande is being proposed. It is designed to maximize the possibility to observe the first signal of ν_e appearance, and to show a finite θ_<13> value. The possibility to measure a CP violation effect in the mode using an anti-neutrino beam, after apparatus upgrades in the future, is also discussed.
