Hamamoto's remedy for the band crossing anomalies is investigated using a schematic model. It is shown that the remedy is applicable only in the vicinity of the band crossing point. The main point of her prescription is to diagonalize the particle-rotor model Hamiltonian which includes the inter-band interaction h, using the basis constructed from the solutions of the cranking model by excluding h which is the origin of the anomalies. Consequently, the resulting wave functions show the anomalously sharp and large peak in the angular momentum fluctuation in the band crossing region. The matrix element of h results in the state-dependent gap parameter under the Marshalek's a priori assumption on the pairing interaction in the rotating frame.
