Abstract

The effective tensor interaction generated by the exchange of the one pion in the finite nucleus is evaluated by calculating the pion propagator, and is compared with the OPEP in the vacuum. The interaction obtained depends not only on the relative but also on the c.m. coordinates of the two nucleons, and is strongly dependent upon the admixture of short range effects.
