Abstract
Failure of the double folding (DF) model with M3Y interaction is pointed out for the ^<12>C+^<12>C elastic scattering at E(^<12>C) = 148〜300 MeV; namely, the normarization factor for the real folded potential, N_R = 0.92〜0.66 is inevitable to reproduce the data in the DF (single-channel) calculation. N_R decreases as incident energy increases. These reduction and incident-energy dependence of N_R are well explained as the inelastic-excitation and breakup effect of ^<12>C, which is shown by a microscopic coupled-channel calculation including the inelastic-excitation and breakup channels explicitly.
