Abstract

Based on the shell model, we calculated the partial conversion widths of a light Ξ hypeinuclear state to three types of final ΛΛ states; two-Λ bound, one-Λ bound and one-Λ continuum, and two-Λ continuum. We confirmed that the interaction between Ξ particle and proton in the deeply bound s-orbit plays an impotant role to produce the ΛΛ hypernuclear bound states. The partial width of a Ξ hypernuclear state to the double Λ hypernuclear compound states was estimated to be about 10% in comparison with the total conversion width of a Ξ hypernuclear state. If the Ξ hypernuclear states from (K^-, K^+) reactions were made, we could expected to observe various kinds of light double Λ hypernuclear fragment.
