Abstract
The 2003 Tokachi-oki earthquake displaced about 5,500 triangulation stations (national geodetic control stations) by 2ppm in strain change. To efficiently update the stations’ geodetic values (latitude/longitude and X/Y in plane coordinate system) caused mainly by episodic crustal motions, the coordinate revision software “PatchJGD” was developed based on coordinate transformation software “TKY2JGD” that transforms from Tokyo Datum to a geocentric reference system, Japanese Geodetic Datum 2000. Tools and manual for making the regional revision parameters for PatchJGD were also provided as “PatchJGD parameter recipe kit”. The parameters for the 2003 Tokachi-oki earthquake, the 2005 Fukuokaken-seiho-oki earthquake, the 2007 Noto hanto earthquake, the 2007 Niigataken Chuetsu-oki earthquake, and the 2008 Iwate-Miyagi nairiku earthquake were made with the kit and resurveyed results of selected triangulation stations, and used for updating the stations’ geodetic values. PatchJGD has also been used for updating public control points and reduced costs of resurvey.
