Abstract

Our hearing can recognize complex fluctuation of sound pressure. This paper presents the analysis result of complexity of fluctuation of sound pressure level. The complexity has relation with self similarity. We propose the complexity analysis method using self similarity analysis method that has iterated function system of Affine transformation. We use two kinds of environmental sounds. The fluctuation period is similar, but fluctuation level is different. We have obtained the Affine transformation parameters that reflected the characteristic of the environmental sound.
