Abstract
TOC-CCPM (Theory of Constraints - Critical Chain Project Management) is used as a method to improve productivity in project environment. We have implemented the TOC-CCPM method in IT projects. While we identified effective results of cutting project duration, we could not see overall productivity enhancement of the organization. The major reason for failing to increase organization's overall productivity is that our object has focused only on reducing duration of each project. In order to achieve genuine productivity enhancement, results obtained from CCPM must directly contribute to increase in profitability. This paper studies efficient use of time and resources, which is a condition for achieving genuine productivity enhancement using the TOC-CCPM method, and proposes an approach that can achieve productivity enhancement.
