Abstract
The complexities of recent projects and strong demands for project success have been requiring highly skilled project managers who can accomplish a project certainly and punctually. Organizations are requested to develop project managers having such competencies, steadily, promptly, and continuously. However, it is not easy to develop human resources for the purpose of competency acquisition without recognizing a concept of competency properly. This paper considers the effects of our own competency framework based on the requirements which are demanded from a competency model. We adopted a unique training technique for comprehension of the competency framework as to be utilized effectively as a tool for self-ability improvement. The effectiveness was demonstrated by the results of the training we carried out.
