Abstract
To support the effective introduction of in-house IT systems, we have constructed a business justification analysis support system for IT system development. It evaluates the opportunity, investment effects, risk factors, and the justification of development systems. By using this information, it clarifies the appropriateness and priority level of development investment. This system is a scoring system of checklists base. By using score information on the opportunity and the risk and the justification, it clarifies a status of each development and draws up the project portfolio map. The operation of this system began in March, 2007.
