Abstract
By making the capillary suction pressure pk in green pellet a intermediate, the correlation between the strength σ of green pellet and the relative saturation of voids in pellet ψ was investigated, where the published data of D. M. Newitt's study were used after rearrangement. In consequence, both the dimensionless functions of pk and σ, i.e. Xpkdvs/α⋅cosδ⋅ε/1-ε: Y≡σ⋅dvs/c⋅ψ⋅α⋅cosδ⋅ε/1-ε proved graphically to depend on ψ alone in the next same equation for the different groups of pellets made of sands having rather narrow size distribution. X or Y=k1 exp [k2/ψ] for ψ<1
