This paper clarifies the formation of online public opinion through the analysis of micro-blog' s posts of the 8・12 Tianjin explosion. The conclusions can be summarized as the following five points. 1) During the accident, the micro-blog mainly performed the function of information dissemination and supervision, and the comment of the posts mainly performed the function of supervision. 2) The online public opinion mainly concentrated in the accountability of government and Ruihai company, the problem of fire protection, the Number of death and environmental pollution data from government were distrusted. 3) The attitude of the government's accident correspondence has a great impact on the formation of online public opinion. 4) The「Headlines」 account gather the information from the people who experienced the accident ,and then edit these and sent them as news. This kind of information transmission made the information spread much more rapidly than sent by the personal accounts. It is means that a new kind of information spread mode is emerged. 5) The online public opinion has prompted the government investigation and information disclosure.
