Certifications and exams encourage IT engineers' job application in Japan. However, the contents of IT certification became outdated due to longer time to modify the certification rule. This study analyzes magazine and questionnaires to identify IT engineers' learning motivation factor. The results disclosed IT engineers' needs. An interactive conversation, as well as an offer of one-sided information, are critical factors of IT engineer motivation.
