What Topics Make You Excited in the SNS?

Abstract

Twitter provides trending topics, which are the popular keyphrases among Twitter users. However, only the list of trending topics is published, and the distributions on the concepts behind such trending topics are not disclosed. My research group made a system to visualise the concepts behind trending topics by a sequence of topic-map graph each day. In this study, the time series of topic-graph data are calculated and discuss what kind of topics are popular among Twitter users. Several typical situations are provided to illustrate the trend of the concept of trending topics.
