Abstract

The debt of Japanese government amounts to 1,100 trillion yen (10 trillion dollars). Some people worry seriously about financial collapse. However, most of Japanese citizens, politicians, beaurocrats, business people, and even journalistic media have no concern about it. This paper discusses why so, after surveying optimistic and pessimistic views. Finally the author's conclusive opinion is shown.
