Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to clarify how to grasp and teach the basic techniques for singing at the teachers college. The hypothesis I made was that the basic techniques for singing should be taught with emphasis on the understanding of the relationships between the form and content of music effectively. For the purpose, I developed the methods based on that hypothesis and experimented them in the vocal classes of Osaka Kyoiku University, resulting in considerable success.
