Abstract
An approach to blind equalization of single input and multiple output (SIMO) FIR systems is proposed. The approach utilizes the periodic linear prediction of SIMO FIR systems and exploits only the second-order statistics of the output signals. A joint order estimation and blind equalization can be achieved by the periodic linear prediction of a SIMO FIR system. With the circular Levinson algorithm, the periodic linear prediction problem can be efficiently solved. To improve the performance, a modified algorithm is developed. Computer simulations are presented to see the performance of the proposed approach.
