Abstract
Most living things as well as human beings have mechanisms of circadian clocks in themselves. Recently, the mechanisms of circadian clocks have been heavily studied from the viewpoint of both physiology and genetics. In this paper, we analyze robust adaptation mechanisms of circadian rhythms based on insights of control theory, i.e., the internal model principle. We point out that some models proposed from biological knowledge have internal models, so that robust clock mechanisms are achieved.
