Abstract
The authors previously proposed an optimal sensor location for straight pipes with open ends. This paper considers the optimal sensor location for T-type branch pipes with open ends. In T-type branch pipes a straight path and a branch path exist and thus stationary waves corresponding to the paths are simultaneously generated in the pipes. A criterion for determining the optimal sensor location is presented.
