Velocity Fluctuation of Hole in 1D Defect Turbulence

Abstract

We have definitely discriminated holes from defects in the defect turbulence described by the 1D complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. It is found that velocity of each hole is subjected to deterministic kinetics in our tracing on the path of a hole. On the other hand, probability density of the velocities in the whole system is identified by a generalized Cauchy distribution.
