Abstract

Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) in the head and neck are common, but are rare in the oral soft tissues.
We reported two cases of AVM with a royal purple and pulsating mass in the right dorsal tongue and the right upper lip respectively. The diagnosis of AVM was confirmed by angiography and pathological findings. On the basis of the diagnosis, we excised the mass with the embolization only in case of the right upper lip. The lesions were interover complexes of arteries and veins.
