Abstract
In this paper, a study on the girder structures of suspension bridges focused on simpler and lighter girders are presented. Firstly, deck frames of edge girder beam with H-shaped steel was proposed for the girder, and concrete composite deck and H-shaped steel opening deck were proposed for its deck of girder. Secondly, wind tunnel testing and 3-dimensional computational fluid dynamics analysis were conducted in order to identify the aerodynamic characteristics of the proposed structure.
